Well Drilling
for Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Municipal Use
Your well serves a specific purpose, whether it’s to supply water to a single-family home, serve an industrial application, provide water to a larger commercial business, or irrigate an agricultural field. Wells also commonly serve as the water source for golf courses or large non-ag-related public or private plots of land.
At DJ Pump Service, we gain a detailed understanding of the purpose of your well and its location to provide a reasonable same-day quote and execute the most applicable drilling service for your needs. Whether you require a deep well or shallow well, air-rotary drilling or mud-rotary drilling, DJ Pump Service is the right team for the job.
Common wells we install for homeowners, business owners, and property owners throughout the many Middle Georgia communities include:
Domestic Wells
For homeowners in areas that are not connected to city water, who do not have easy access to surface water, or who want to supplement their municipal water with groundwater for lawn irrigation and other needs.
Industrial Wells
For manufacturing or processing plants and other operational facilities that require water for industrial processes, like machine cooling, material cleaning, material processing, and more.
Agricultural Wells
For hobby farms and agribusinesses that require frequent irrigation for crops and livestock.
Municipal Wells
For towns and cities that supply groundwater to residents and business owners within the community.
DJ Pump Service’s Well Drilling Process
Whether we’re providing well drilling to a homeowner or a large industrial company, our overall process requires expertise and attention to detail:
Step 1: Same-Day Quote
When you call about well drilling from Greene’s Water Wells, we provide a quote the same day it is requested.
Our quotes include “best-case scenario” pricing, which is the price of the well. Our team uses well record data from thousands of well company well records to formulate a best-case quote for your area. However, no two wells are exactly the same, so our quote includes contingency pricing, including:
- Price-per-foot for any additional drilling beyond a set depth, or
- Price-per-foot for any additional casing beyond a set depth or any special pump or component.
When it comes to quotes, please note that each quote is formulated with favorable conditions in mind, and keep in mind that no well driller can accurately forecast the precise conditions of a well site. Should the unexpected occur during drilling, such as running into unforeseen geological conditions, the final cost will likely increase.
Step 2: Signed Agreement and Drilling Permits (if Applicable)
Should you agree to the quoted price, you’ll sign the proposal and apply for any necessary permits for well drilling. If you live in an area that requires a drilling permit before work can begin, it’s your responsibility to obtain your own permit—DJ Pump Service cannot offer well-permit-application services.
Once the proposal is signed and the necessary permit is obtained, you will be added to our drilling schedule.
Step 3: Site Visit
Two to three weeks before the project is scheduled to begin, our team will visit the well site to complete a thorough evaluation. Our inspection will allow us to:
- Map out a path for the equipment to reach the well site.
- Talk with you about the details and expectations of the job.
- Take note of anything that could cause an issue before or during the project phase.
Step 4: Project Phase
The final step of the drilling service is the drilling and installation phase. We will complete the drilling necessary to access the groundwater, install casing, install the pump system, run electrical and plumbing lines, and perform a completion check to ensure your well is installed properly and operating with efficiency.

The Right Pump for Your New Well
DJ Pump Service offers a range of pump systems, each built to accommodate specific water well applications:
Submersible Pump
A pump system installed within the well that pushes the water up into your irrigation or plumbing system.
Jet Pump
A surface-level pump system that draws the water up into your irrigation or plumbing system.
Turbine-Shaft Pump
An above-ground centrifugal pump system that efficiently draws water from deep wells.
Hand Pump
A manual pumping system with a pumpable handle, allowing users to access water without the need for electricity. Hand pumps are valuable in situations when electrical supplies may be unreliable.
Solar-Powered Pump
A pump system that is powered by the sun’s energy, harnessed and stored in solar panels. Solar-powered pumps come in handy for accessing water from wells that are off the grid.
Variable Frequency Drive Pump
A pump system that provides water at a consistent pressure, reduces the cost of topside plumbing, and increases the system’s reliability.
DJ Pump Service installs pumps ranging from 1/2 horsepower for low-use wells to 500 horsepower for industrial- or municipal-use wells.
Our well drilling service comes with a one-year parts-and-labor warranty. Customers can also opt for a 5-year ProSurance extended warranty on any pump we install.
